Charlotte’s journey into content creation came as a happy accident. After purchasing her first home in 2020, Charlotte and her husband James dived into an unplanned Lockdown renovation, and out the other end, came a huge passion for DIY and interiors.

 

The 1950s property was dilapidated and in serious need of some TLC, so a full renovation was ton the cards. Despite multiple trades lined up to start upon completion, lockdown had other plans, leaving Charlotte and James to take on the renovation themselves! Unphased by her lack of experience, she chucked on her overalls, got lots of advice from family & YouTube, and got stuck into her first renovation project.

Her Instagram account initially started as a way to keep friends and family in the loop with progress, as the pandemic was at its peak and no one could visit. But soon her renovation caught media attention, with double page spreads in Your Home Magazine and articles in Ideal Home, The Daily Mail and The Mirror to name a few, her audience started to grow. This is how @charlottes_homestyle was born!

4 years later, you might think the DIY and room transformations would be complete? Absolutely not. Whether it’s a quick flip of some old furniture to breathe new life into a room, a redesign and decoration of a tired space she's fallen out of love with, a new renovation project or a little restyle, Charlotte doesn't stop, even since becoming a mum.

 

She loves nothing more than trying new things, unlocking new skills, and sharing the highs and lows along the way with her invested home style loving audience. Her honest commentary, charismatic personality and hands-on approach has allowed her to build a community of trusted homeowners & renters that feel connected and inspired by Charlottes work.

Through her content Charlotte’s goal is to empower others to elevate their homes on a budget, try some DIY, and to show them how to make their own home feel like the luxury places they aspire to live in.
